Today's comic is about Lost Planet, that horrible game that we never played. Well, to it's credit, we only played the demo. The full game might be better, but we're not gonna pay 60 bucks to find out. The wonderfull demo consisted of trudging through snow, lots of hazy, white, boring snow. The demo did nothing for me, nor greg. This is not to say that the game doesn't have more to it, we just never got to anything good because we shut it off after about 20 minutes of nothing but snow. Another thing that strikes me about this game is how the graphics look like they could look exactly the same on a regular xbox, or ps2. So why then is it on a next gen console? More than likely being sold and next gen game price 60 bucks or so. I'm sure all of the rich fancy-pants readers out there don't see the problem, but us poor people can't afford to waste an extra 10 to 20 bucks for no reason. On the other hand, it may sound crazy, but take a game like Gears of War, a very short game with some of the prettiest graphics I have seen on the 360. And while it did not take long to beat, I did not feel ripped off in the least. It just goes to show, at least in my book, that if you take the time to make something look good, put in a good control system and let 'er rip, you'll get much better results from the people buying this stuff. But what do I know, i'm poor!

Trudgingly yours,
