Ah, today feels rant-o-riffic
does it not? And what would Natural Failure be without ranting about one thing
or another? I'll tell you, it would be a hideous ogre beast, don't let anyone
tell you different. So, on with the rant: Ever heard of NDD? Me neither, that
is, until I read the sunday paper last week. Apparently, some fancy-pants Doctor
guy is trying to convince everyone that technology is the scapegoat for all
of the things wrong with the youth of today. He went on to blame A.D.D., A.D.H.D.,
Childhood Obesity, and many other things, stating that we need to get back to
nature to not be fat retards with short attention spans. Granted I am summing
it up into one big ball of stupid theory, but thats the gist I got from the
article. Needless to say that we here at NF obviously disagree with any generally
sweeping statements about our precious technology. Did they ever bother to consider
that todays parents might be ill-equiped to take care of their children? And
I believe I put it best when I said the other day:"Each child has their
own mixed cocktail of what makes them tick: video games, school, parents, Etc..
These things are all different per person, and all of them help to make the
kid fat, lazy or whatever. There is no simple solution. But I still believe
parents have the biggest influence on their kids lifestyles." Granted this
is all a slanted opinion since I hold videogames close to my heart with my sweaty
hands. But thats what this section is here for. For me and greg to tell you
that you're wrong.
Toodles,
Nate W.
